                                                                                     Don Gelles, Minister For The Church of Christ In Hyde Park

Hello and welcome to our website! 

My name is Don Gelles and I am the gospel preacher for the congregation of the Lord's Church that meets in Hyde Park.  I am glad that you have taken the time to stop by and learn a little about us.  If you live in the Austin area or if you are visiting, I hope you will be sure to visit with us. 

     In September of 2007 I became the preacher for the Hyde Park congregation and follow a long line of faithful preachers.  I am very thankful to be preaching for a congregation that is so loving and kind.  The brothers and sisters that make up the Body of Christ here in Hyde Park have showered my family and me with the love of Christ.  One of the factors that lead me to come back to Austin was the chance to serve under the oversight of a sound and faithful eldership.  Brothers Roy, Ted and Odis are men that take their role and function as elders to heart.  My family and I have been encouraged by their support and prayers.    

     I have been a gospel preacher for 17 years and have ministered to congregations in three states (Texas, Colorado & Louisiana). My wife Alicia and I have three children (Baily, Bryce & Josh). We met and married in Austin 14 years ago and are excited to be back home and near family. From 2004-2007 I was the host and Bible teacher on the weekly TV program  A Bible Look With Don Gelles. Plans are underway to bring this program to the internet.
